Over 50 Chinese principals and 40 administrators met at Lanier Middle School
The City of Fairfax Schools was proud to host a delegation of Chinese principals and administrators from Virginia today. The group was organized through the Schools Superintendent Association (AASA) and Triway International.
Meeting at Lanier Middle School, the educational leaders discussed the similarities and differences between American and Chinese education and explored cultural exchange opportunities.
Dr. Phyllis Pajardo, Superintendent of the City of Fairfax Schools welcomed the group and moderated the speakers throughout the event. Dr. Pajardo joined LMS principal Erin Lenart on a trip to China in the summer of 2016 and was happy to share her experiences with her colleagues.
“The City of Fairfax Schools are always proud to host our friends and colleagues from China,” said Dr. Pajardo. “We thank our partners in AASA and Triway International for organizing such a wonderful event and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
The participants spent time listening to presentations from both US and Chinese principals, a panel about exchange programs and spoke with one another about possible relationships with their schools.
