A group of Korean administrators visited Fairfax HS from the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching program. They toured Fairfax Academy Korean, dance, fashion careers classes along with FHS science, and physical education classes. Academy teachers, Jin-A Chang and Song Johnston welcomed them and took time to speak to the group and answer questions, and Meredith Barnes invited them to observe her hip hop dance class. The group of educators even went out in the rain to see the garden with science teacher Bradley Webster, after he spoke about his classes, AP courses, Lion Time and R-Time and various other topics regarding Fairfax High School. The visitors engaged in a Q&A session with Mr. Webster’s R-Time students.
During the debrief and panel discussion about FHS and Fairfax Academy with Andrea Cook and Erin Molek, Robyn Langford joined and spoke to them in great detail about sports, female athletes, and the athletic department – as those were all special interests the visitors specifically inquired about before their arrival.
