A team of 40 people comprised of Fairfax High School Cross Country runners, Boy Scouts from Troop 577, and parents built two quarter-mile, six foot wide trails through Daniels Run Park. They cleared fallen logs, trimmed back undergrowth and spread mulch.

Vishwa Arun, a Fairfax High School junior organized this activity to fulfill his Eagle Scout project. Arun worked with the City Parks and Recreation Department to fufill the project. Combined with existing trails the cross country team will now have two half-mile loops to use for interval training. The trails can also be used for future 5K runs.
