Gina Shelton, School Based Technology Specialist and website curator recognized for story telling

Fairfax County Public Schools has recognized the Providence Elementary School website for excellence in web design and use of web-based tools in the 2018 Best of the Web Awards. FCPS highlighted Ms. Shelton’s work to tell the story of PES online. From the award:

Providence Elementary School: Gina Shelton, curator; Dan Phillips, principal. Curator Gina Shelton takes advantage of the many photos shot by FCPS photographer Karen Bolt to tell the story of what happens at her school. Featured in photos are classrooms, the library, and common areas, all depicting the school’s energy that transfers to the website. Updated bios and photos of all staff members appear on grade level team pages, and the unique programs offered at the school, including the STEAM lab and Chinese FLES /LTC program, are also featured.
