City of Fairfax School Board welcomes Kate Meade as Student Representative and Kylie Horn as Alternate
The City of Fairfax School Board welcomes Kate Meade as the 2018-2019 Student Representative. Kate will attend all school board meetings and represent Fairfax High School students. “I wanted to run for this position because I feel that I know a wide variety of people from all areas of interest in the school, and I want to make a difference,” said Meade. In a teacher recommendation, Kate was hailed as a “student who is bright, motivated, mature, generous, popular and confident,” by her Spanish Teacher, Roslyn Spector.
Junior Kylie Horn will be the first student school board alternate. Kylie will attend meetings if Kate is unavailable. Kylie was on City of Fairfax Superintendent Dr. Phyllis Pajardo’s Superintendent Advisory Committee in 2017. “I ran for this position because I want all of the students attending City of Fairfax schools to have a voice, and I am committed to serving them in this capacity.”
