Erin Nolasco (Class 2022) of Troop 5968 in Fairfax earned the Girl Scout Gold Award in August. This is the highest award a Girl Scout can receive, only about 5% of girl scouts earn this award.
This spring and summer, despite the challenges of COVID-19, Erin lead an extensive community service project (183 total hours) to plant and harvest a vegetable garden for the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter in Fairfax.
Also pictured below are Rockett Beeson (Class 2022) and Hope Peters (Class 2022) assisting Erin. Rockett and Hope are also working on their own Gold Award project.
