City of Fairfax Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, IAFF Local 2702 participated in their annual coat drive this winter, donating twenty four coats to city students. The coat drive is part of many ways the firefighters support their local schools, including participating in mentoring programs, guest reading days and the 2021 “Masks and Macks” event where they sponsored a donation to city school teachers.
“The City of Fairfax Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, IAFF Local 2702 is proud to support our city schools as a partner,” said Lieutenant David Arrington, president. “Now more than ever, we recognize the importance of supporting our students and staff in our schools and we want them to see we are there for them both in school and out in their community.”
