City of Fairfax School Board Chairman Carolyn Pitches took a moment to honor former Fairfax High School student John Thomasson, who was killed in a pedestrian accident earlier this month. Thomasson, a 2020 graduate, was a junior at Virginia Tech pursuing a degree in biomedical science.
Ms. Pitches shared words and memories from some of John's friends.
During John’s time at Fairfax HS, he was part of honor societies, the leadership program, student government, and athletics. John’s teammates called him “Sunshine”. “It is clear that John made a tremendous impact on everyone in his life and will be greatly missed,” said Pitches. “This board offers its deepest sympathies to John’s family and friends.”
