Fairfax Students Earn 2025 Regional Scholastic Art Award

The 2025 Regional Scholastic Art Awards program has awarded eleven Fairfax High School and Katherine Johnson Middle School students in grades 7-12 a total of sixteen awards for outstanding artwork, including six Gold Key awards, four Silver Key awards, and six Honorable Mention awards. 

Artworks were submitted and judged in categories including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, digital art, design, architecture, jewelry, fashion, film and animation, mixed media, and art portfolios.

Winners include:
Kai Garcia, 12th grade – Gold Key, Art Portfolio
Kaida Jones, 11th grade – Honorable Mention, Digital Art 
Keyla Juarez, 10th grade – Gold Key, Photography
Rex Killian, 11th grade – Silver Key, Digital Art, Silver Key, Photography
Clara Kim, 11th grade – Honorable Mention, Drawing & Illustration
Esther Kim, 8th grade – Silver Key, Drawing & Illustration
Lilly Kyle, 10th grade – Gold Key, Painting, Honorable Mention Drawing & Illustration 
Skyler Levy, 12th grade – Silver Key, Digital Art, (Two awards)
Akshara Mittal, 10th grade – Silver Key, Drawing & Illustration
Hanna Vintilescu, 12th grade – Two Gold Keys, Three Honorable Mention in Sculpture, Digital Art, and Mixed Media
