Fairfax High School students have been named to the 2020 All-Virginia Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. These groups had been scheduled to perform on Saturday, April 25, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, but the performances were cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) has released its 24th annual VSBA Showcases for Success directory, highlighting successful K-12 programs in Virginia’s public schools. The City of Fairfax Schools is one of 44 school divisions from across the Commonwealth that has programs featured in the directory.

Manish Balamurugan, Kathryn Chung, and Venkat Kuppoor win Grand Prize in Biomedical Engineering for their project titled USDL: Ultrasound Noise Reduction Using Machine Learning Techniques.

Daniel Mbangue, Melanie George and Peter Makin were all honored with the the Virginia High School League 2nd Team and Washington Post Winter 2020 All Met Honorable Mention.
